Doing Business in Trinidad and Tobago

The government of Trinidad and Tobago has been working to improve the speed at which persons can do business in the country.  Today a major way to do business in Trinidad and Tobago is to use some of the online facilities of the government.  Please urgently proceed to the Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Business Information Portal.  This is yet one of the initiatives that the government has done in response to the lobbying of the business community to make doing business in Trinidad easier.   This portal is an integral component of TTBizLink which also facilitates a range of Government e-services related to trade and business.  TTBizLink has two integral and complementary components which are:

Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Business Information Portal

SEW Government E-Services

The portal is a one-stop-shop online facility for searchable, accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date information on trade and business procedures in Trinidad and Tobago.  The Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon, at its official launch indicated that the portal provides access to multiple tools and resources under three main categories; Trade, Business and Investment.  She further indicated that it will allow users to access updated legislation, trade agreements, bilateral investment treaties, double taxation treaties and other legal reference documents pertaining to trade and business.  For more on its launch you can check the Express Newspaper article of 26th May entitled Ease of doing business.
